Midweek Mancandy: Bruno Mars

We here at The Pop Tarts enjoy various flavors of mancandy, which is why our Midweek Mancandy of the week is a different sort of delicious than our other weeks have been. We are going for a more adorably cute package by way of musician Bruno Mars.

Mars, of Filipino and Puerto Rican (that just sounds like a hot combo) descent, is a singer/songwriter who has become prominent in the past few years. You probably recognize his name. If not, you definitely have heard some of the songs he has written and/or sang. He is the magic behind B.o.B.'s "Nothin' on You," Travie McCoy's "Billionaire," (one of the writers of) "Right Round" by Flo Rida, and Cee-lo Green's "Fuck You" (a favorite song of the Tarts!). As for his singing, you would have to have been living under a rock to have not heard "Grenade" or "Just the Way You Are" or "The Lazy Song." In fact, if you've heard either of these songs, you probably find yourself singing them frequently. If you are a fan of Glee, you also know "Marry You," which was featured in the episode "Furt".

So, if his radio hits don't get your panties melting, Kel suggests checking into some of his stripped or mo-town versions of songs. He has a couple really great live versions of Grenade: a mo-town version from the Grammys and a stripped version from The Graham Norton Show. Even if you're not a fan of pop music, you have to admit that Bruno Mars is incredibly talented. And that just makes him that much more delicious.

And can we discuss how adorable he is. He is definitely not macho manly hot, but he brings a sweet confidence to everything he does. And you can feel his passion in all his music. He also is extremely friendly in interviews and seems to always be genuinely excited to share his music with others.

Talent, cuteness, sweetness, passion, confidence and excitement? Definitely a great piece of mancandy!
