Like last week, we are going to feature yet another gorgeous Australian hunk well-known for starring in movies based on comic books.
That's right, this week's Mancandy selection is ...
Chris Hemsworth!
Hemsworth is currently starring in "Rush" as Formula 1 driver James Hunt, but he is best known for being Thor in "Thor" and "The Avengers." He also played Captain Kirk's hero dad in 2009's "Star Trek" (of course Captain Kirk's dad looks like that!), and was definitely the Fairest Of Them All in "Snow White & The Huntsman" (seriously, he outshone Kirsten Stewart as Snow White by a scary amount).
Chris Hemsworth is a very buff guy, especially when he's playing Thor, but there's something more than his gloriously sculpted muscles that makes him an especially hot actor, and therefore worthy of Mancandy recognition. Part of it is the Australian accent, which everyone knows is one of the hottest accents on the planet. Part of it is his face, which is classically handsome yet interesting But a lot of it is just his fun-loving attitude. The reason he is so successful at playing Thor is that he throws himself 100 percent into a very, very ridiculous role (like, a thousand times more ridiculous than a guy in a metal suit, a super-soldier who was frozen in ice for 60 years and a scientist who turns into an enormous green rage monster). He's utterly charming and hilarious in the roles, and that charm and humor translates into great interviews and red carpet appearances, too. He is just overwhelmingly dreamy with a wonderful personality to boot, and that's why he's our Midweek Mancandy this week!
